Some pics of the Jacques River, the Mississippi and a meme

@Nevertooold I was born in southeast Iowa, about 30 miles from Quincy, and I have been to the caves near Hannibal as well. The Mississippi River referred to in this post is in Ontario, Canada, different from and "unrelated" to the Mississippi River in the United States.

@Nevertooold The mighty Mississippi in the US is a much longer river than the one here in Canada. They both have their own unique history and beauty.

@Indy74 It's a beautiful small village, wish l had of taken pics of some of the architecture there as well. Their grist mill was being renovated and turned into a restaurant, unfortunately it burnt to the ground last weekend.

@mainvane Yes it is, the water is pretty high in both rivers. We're supposed to get rain on Monday and they're worried about flooding with the rapid melt we've had recently.

@mainvane It's fine here thanks, fortunately we're e not that close to the Jacques River. It will probably peak this weekend so hopefully those affected will be OK.
