I'm in Oklahoma, way down by Red River and we got 1 helluva storm night before last and much cooler temperatures yesterday. I hope that we get something between summer and winter this year...

@that1funnyblonde You've got a big cold front with record low temperatures headed your way.

@4meAndyou yeah my vertebrae has been telling me that. I’m scared to lift anything a little heavy because my joints have been popping and are swollen.

@that1funnyblonde We got 3/4 of an inch of rain this weekend in central OK and that’s a lot more than we’ve gotten in many weeks.

@cherokeepatti Just be careful. I am in the same boat with my back. I overdid it on Friday and have been married to the heating pad for three days.

@4meAndyou I could lift a 40-bottle case of bottled water and that’ll do the trick. Last time I did it I had sciatica for 3 months. I bring the boy with me if I want to buy cases of water now. And I have him helping with other heavy items lifting and unloading the car.

@cherokeepatti @cherokeepatti I went to my friend's house on Friday, and collected two really heavy bags of food he's been saving for me, AND went grocery shopping, AND lifted a giant box filled with food so that I could unpack it. I managed to hurt my back up higher than usual...my spine right below my shoulder blades.

@4meAndyou I’m starting to divide up things when the box or bag is too heavy and carry it that way. The risk of lingering pain for weeks is not worth it to keep everything in one box or bag.

@cherokeepatti You are correct. I don't always use my head. I did last week, though. I had a delivery of kitty litter and the box weighed 42 pounds. My snippy neighbor informed me that the box had been down there for TWO days and no one could lift it...in a tone that said I had committed a great sin.

I went down there with an razor knife, cut the box open and was able to lift out each 14 pound box.

So...I seem to be consistently inconsistent. I didn't even think of splitting up that big grocery box.
