I'm in Oklahoma, way down by Red River and we got 1 helluva storm night before last and much cooler temperatures yesterday. I hope that we get something between summer and winter this year...

@4meAndyou I’m starting to divide up things when the box or bag is too heavy and carry it that way. The risk of lingering pain for weeks is not worth it to keep everything in one box or bag.

@cherokeepatti You are correct. I don't always use my head. I did last week, though. I had a delivery of kitty litter and the box weighed 42 pounds. My snippy neighbor informed me that the box had been down there for TWO days and no one could lift it...in a tone that said I had committed a great sin.
I went down there with an razor knife, cut the box open and was able to lift out each 14 pound box.
So...I seem to be consistently inconsistent. I didn't even think of splitting up that big grocery box.

I think Oklahoma usually skips fall and goes directly from summer to winter, usually on Thanksgiving or a day or two afterwards.

@Heartlander sometimes weeks after Thanksgiving before we get our first real taste of winter.

I was out all day on Friday, and was amazed at the brilliant oranges and the bright reds of the trees. I wish I had remembered my cell phone or had a camera.
As I was driving home, the rain had finally stopped, and a white mist was rising from the ground in every open field and cranberry bog I passed. In one retired bog, a host of young trees had taken over, and they were spectacular in color! Reds so bright they looked fake! Brilliant yellows, and oranges!
That white mist...topped by the flame-like brilliance of the young trees...so moody and yet so gorgeous!
