I had multiple cases of sleep paralysis in a row yesterday. Not only was I unable to move, but there was a piercingly loud sound that just kept
getting louder and louder, almost to the point where it feels like your head is going to explode. Some people claim to see devils - evil entities in the form of the night hag, incubus and succubus, shadow people, etc etc. However, my experience is purely auditory, nothing visual. Either way, I believe sleep paralysis is one of the most terrifying experiences here on earth.
Have you ever experienced it? If so, what was your experience? I personally believe that sleep paralysis is demonic in nature and a spiritual attack. I believe the Biblical perspective on sleep paralysis is the best one. But I am curious as to what the scientific explanation of sleep paralysis is? Has anyone done research on this or have any answers or opinions on the scientific explanation of sleep paralysis?
More importantly, every person that I have ever heard say that they were able to stop their sleep paralysis was only by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Just like with the alien abduction phenomenon, calling on the name Jesus Christ stops the experience immediately.
There is so much power in the name Jesus Christ - God manifest in the flesh. It is the most powerful name. The devils are terrified of and flee at the name Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:9-11 - Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Acts 4:10-12 - Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
