So the boys came home pretty excited today so they have been playing outside for a while. I was sitting on n the swing and Link come up and said

Daddy I need a rest can I sit on you.

Sure big man come on up

He climbed up and cuddled close to me.

Is you foot tired I asked

Kinda but it's okay.

It's not secret I don't care for feet and my family knows this.

I tickle him a little bit and say give me that stinky foot

My foot doesn't stink daddy.

I take his shoe off and start messaging it for him.

See not stinky

Nope not it all

I didn't want to tell him it kinda was but I'm okay with it

@WillaKissing his doctor says that it should be back to normal by this fall or winter. The foot takes a very long time to heal and for the swelling to go away I never knew that.

So we'll give him as many foot massages as he needs and he is still getting physical therapy as well to help it heal faster. He walks on his toes so he's supposed to be wearing afos but they discovered a defect in his foot so they wanted to do surgery and then he'll start using the afos again probably next year

@Cigarguys Yeah, foot surgery sucks I had the left foot cut in half and reconstructed and surgery on the right heel for nerve damage so, I feel his pain for sure.

@WillaKissing oh that does not look fun. I'm sorry you had to go through. He was such a brave kiddo too after seeing what he went through I think I'd rather just have my foot cut off LOL
