Change of plans

So the doctor's office just called and said they needed to reschedule the surgery for either tomorrow or they would have to put it off until May because of a conflict with the surgeon schedule. We definitely do not want to wait till May because we want him up and going in the summer so we have decided to do the surgery tomorrow. Everyone has been notified and his mother is coming over tonight to help us talk to him about what is going to happen. This is definitely not how we wanted to do it but it is better than him having surgery in May and being in a cast when it is warm and everyone is playing outside and he can't. Please keep our oldest boy in your thoughts and prayers I would greatly appreciate it.

My thoughts are with you for sure.
And I think this is the best thing that could happen, given that he has to have the surgery. Not only will he be saved from a long period of anticipation, but you and Joel will, as well! There is a lot to be said for that.
