The truth is we don't know

But it sure is painful for a close family member to remind us of that

We really don't know if he will be able to live in his own.

We don't for how long he can go in a main steam school.

We don't know if he'll need to go to a day program later in life

We really don't know if he will be able to get a so called real job.

We don't know what his future holds but we do know is he'll get the best love, support and care anyone will ever need.

We will love him and care for him no matter what happens.

This is our son and we are proud to raise him.

This amazing son of ours born with down syndrome is prefect!

It's probably a good idea to take some of that extra money Joel has been tucking away for the mortgage, and put it into a high interest rate long term CD. And assign a trustee. That way if your older son lives longer than BOTH of you, he will have SOME funds, even if he is not able to work.
