Our oldest boy

So tonight I was helping our oldest boy with his man shower and while drying him off I noticed a red spot and bruise on the left side of his ankle.

I got him dressed in his pj's than asked him if it hurt

What happened I asked

After a few more questions he told me his AOF was hurting him a little after lunch.

I asked him why he didn't tell his aid or the nurse about it.

He said I he wanted to be strong like me and wear it even if it hurt.

I knew he was talking about my walking cast I had to wear when I hurt my ankle. Me wearing the boot was one of the reasons he started wearing his AFO'S all the time.

The good news is I know the bruise or red mark wasn't there before he went to school because I put on his AOF's

That really hit me hard. He was trying to be strong like me. I feel horrible.

So tomorrow he won't be wearing them and I'll be calling his PT first thing in the morning to get him in to see why this happened.
