@4meAndyou I wish I could make it so it wasn't that way. But I can. It won't be so bad in the winter because he'll be wearing pants and you can't see them but in warmer weather they will be seem

@HootyTheNightOwl I wish I could tell him no, no one would tease him or make fun of him. But for now we are proud that he wears them at home and most of the weekends. We are working on helping him deal with cruel kids or bullies. But I don't think he's ready for that just yet.

@Cigarguy It would be great if bullying did die - but it hasn't, so honesty is your best policy.

Maybe you could also model the way that people stare with him too, so that he knows and understands that most of the time curiosity is the reason why strangers will stare.

He's making great strides in the right direction and compromising as much as he can.
