He was not having it today

So I took our oldest to his physical therapy appointment and boy he was not having it today when they put the afos on him he sat down closed his eyes put his thumb in his mouth and would not move. We tried everything we could think of to get him to stand up and walk but he wouldn't.

I did tell his therapist how he was doing good at home and wearing them a little longer every day. I also told him how our youngest boy was helping him and encouraging him to walk around the house.

The therapist finally took the afos off and we worked on some of his fine motor skills for the rest of the appointment.

I know how much he hates wearing those and it's hard to convince him that it's for his own good. Hopefully with time he'll get better.

Some days things like that happen. They get anxious and act that way. It's difficult on the parent side as well.

@Lovebird he's been medically fragile most of his life and spent a long time in the PICU last year. So yes he gets very anxious when he sees a doctor now.
