Struggling with ana

I have had anorexia for years now, I've recovered once and now I've relapsed two months ago, loosing over 20kg in that time. I feel miserable and so incredibly lonely not only because this disorder makes me push everyone away, loose interested in the things I love but also being a guy makes me feel like a weirdo, like I'm just seeking attention or something since it's apparently a girls-only illness. It has completely consumed me, I don't think about anything else but food, calories, weight, exercise.

In college, all the guys were told to meet for free pizza, drinks and a movie in the residence hall.

Everyone on campus showed.

A lady walked in an introduced herself.
Then announced she had an urgent message about male anorexia.

She explained
it was as big a problem with men, as with affected females.
But twice as deadly because of the male stigma.
Her son nearly died of it and exercised/dieted non stop.

While the promise of pizza and drinks was a rouse to get us there; the talk was sobering, and saved some lives.

I hope you get professional help ASAP. You can do this. You're not alone nor seeking attention. Neither are you less of a man.

You're just another human being in need.....like all of us here

God bless friend.
