Has anyone ever had

Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to a medication that caused hives, if so how long until your hives cleared up?

My husband, all the time. He is allergic to something different everyday it seems. It usually lasts a couple of hours or less he just takes an antihistamine. And waits it out. He has an epipen but you know how men are a leg has to be dangling and about to fall off before they even go to the docs lol
