Smoke from Canada wildfires has reached New Jersey

The haze and the smell are very prominent. I live about ten miles from the Statue of Liberty. Here's a photo someone took today (not mine)

My bestie in central PA has been talking about the haze from the smoke for several days.

@Mamapolo2016 Central PA, eh? I'm from near King of Prussia.
@originnone I don't know why I said central. I lived 5 miles from her until I went to college.

NW Pa, about 40 miles south of Erie.

However, I have been to King of Prussia. A great name for a town.

@Mamapolo2016 That's a long way from here! LOL. My uncle did have a place in Erie after he retired from Pittsburgh.
@originnone I know. I went briefly mad.
@originnone live in Reading, King of Prussia Mall is my favorite place to shop. My husband has canceled appointments and is in the ER which is being overrun

@saragoodtimes Our first daughter was born in Reading. After that, we went to Pottstown....which is a bit like having a baby in a hot dog factory....
@originnone Pottstown has become as bad as Reading in recent years. shootings and drugs everywhere

@saragoodtimes The town is bad. The hospital seems to have improved since Tower Health took over. My wife and I used to go to Royals and R Phils games when she was healthy.
@originnone MLB has dictated minimums for minor league ballparks doing lots of work on the stadium to e completed by opening next year

@saragoodtimes The reading stadium is wonderful....absolutely wonderful....food is cheap and the atmosphere is awesome.....same as the Santander center. great place for hockey....not so great for concerts....
@originnone not a hockey fan never been to the Santander

@saragoodtimes It's a cozy place. I saw Yanni there years ago and I think Disturbed. We always went to the ugly oyster before hockey games. It's my favorite bar on the planet.
@originnone that and the peanut Bar are popular here 3rd and spruce for the younger crowd
originnone · 61-69, M
@saragoodtimes We used to go to the peanut bar for their wings. They used like a butter and tobacco sauce.....
@originnone haven't been to either in years
