I wish I could go out but I'm not risking a fine.
Cierzo · M
@CrazyMusicLover So far we still can go out for a walk (fingers crossed) and when I take a walk on the river bank, I don't wear a mask. When I run into someone else walking, we keep our distance
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Cierzo I could go and get a free test today but allegedly there are insane queues at each of three places in my city. Plus I would have to go there by a bus...Not worth the risk.

I cross my fingers for you too so you won't be in lockdown again.
Cierzo · M
@CrazyMusicLover My students would be glad with the closure of school, but I see it only happening in case of a full lockdown.

So you cannot go out unless you get the test?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Cierzo Mainly, I can't go for a walk to the nature. Those who can't show a certificate with a negative result can only go out between 1AM and 5AM, walk a dog 100 m from their household, go to the closest grocery store, chemists, go to a doctor, attend a funeral or your own wedding, go to take care of a close relative who can't take care of themselves, go for PCR testing or take their child to school and back.

Now I'm not sure about 1AM and 5AM. I didn't find it in official instructions.
Cierzo · M
@CrazyMusicLover That is crazy. I really really wonder why we are tolerating this.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Cierzo The worst about it is that it doesn't make sense. Why can't I go to the woods without meeting anyone but in order to go there I have to stand in the queue with 150 people in front of me?
Cierzo · M
@CrazyMusicLover It is really absurd. Lockdown measures are really absurd.

When we were confined during March and August I could not go in nature either, children could not go out, but my neighbour could take the dog out five or six time a day.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Cierzo That's crazy. And you even had no other option...We can at least get tested and move around more freely.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@CrazyMusicLover 1 AM to 5 AM would mean in the middle of the night. I am pretty sure that is wrong. On the other hand, then you would probably not meet anybody else in the streets. ;-)
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@CrazyMusicLover This measure is utterly idiotic. A walk in the woods would give you exercise, fresh air and vitamin D, all of which is very healthy for your body.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@CrazyMusicLover @Cierzo I am so glad that my government has not adopted such crazy measures like your governments.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Mugin16 I was tempted today but then decided against. :D It was 3°C, chilly, fog...Not that it was a bad weather for me but I had already taken a shower and just didn't feel like doing it.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Mugin16 Yes, that is absolutely not a measure to protect the citizens. It's ego wanking, a way to punish those who oppose their ideas of what is right.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@CrazyMusicLover please read the history and science of pandemic control.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@samueltyler2 Have you read the whole thread or just my last comment?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
n effective preventive measure and therapeutic, the only thing we can try is prevention and the only tools we have is masks, social distancing and if the rate of infection rises with that, quarantine. @CrazyMusicLover no and no. I read a reasonable amount of it. I was responding to your comment though, which was responding to Mugin who was commenting like many of the far-right neo-cons who don't believe masks or social distancing is necessary. Your comment that both don't protect the citizens is WRONG. Until someone finds a
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@samueltyler2 No. I'm afraid you misunderstood. I was referring to the concrete situation that happen here. I don't think social distancing, masks and even lockdowns are not necessary in the pandemic. If there was a complete lockdown I would understand but I was referring to absurd exemptions and that in order to be allowed to take a walk alone in the woods you have to expose yourself to potentially positive people waiting in the queues for testing. If it was forbidden to go to the woods in summer I would understand because youth frequently gathers there to drink when it's warm outside but I would like to know how many people would get infected in nature during this time of the year in compare to people who are forced to wait in long queues with both positive and negative individuals. Plus those who were not tested previous weekend already absolved 10 day long quarantine. I could take literally 20 meters and be in nature without meeting a single soul. But no, if I want to do that I have to take a bus full of people, go into the city center and stand in the queue with 100-150 people in front of me, put my mask down, get tested and take a bus back home meeting dozens of people on the way. I could leave with an official certificate with a negative result but sit right next to a person who tested positive heading home to quarantine in the bus.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 I did not say anything about masks and social distancing. But you do not even understand that neocons are not far-right. Actually, the neocons are moving back to the political left, from where they originally came from. A very good development. Keep those bloody warmongers.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Mugin16 I don't understand why politics are involved at all. I don't believe that refusing measures automatically means that it is your political statement. Yes, we have people like that here too but even if I didn't accept some restricting decision regarding the pandemic it doesn't mean I automatically support these dumbasses.
Cierzo · M
@CrazyMusicLover I just posted a pic, precisely because I have already talked a lot about politics lately and wanted a post avoiding them, but it seems impossible 😖
