is it possible for a light skinned black person to look white

It happens all the time. It was more common in the past when lighter skin Black people would “pass” as white if they could get away with it. One of my son’s friends is Black, but his wife is white and their daughter looks 100% white. In fact, sometimes when my son was with them, people assumed he was the kid’s father.
