Scarlet Pages of Deceit

Mary lay motionless on her bed, her crimson locks spread like a macabre halo around her head. Clad in nothing but lingerie, her body was a stark contrast to the innocence of the novels she adored. The only company she had in her final moments was the book she was reading, its pages forever frozen in time, a silent witness to her demise. A pair of delicate glasses were placed meticulously atop the open book, evidently belonging to the victim, as if mocking Mary's passion for literature. Each lens reflected the cold, unforgiving truth of her fate.

How did she die is the question.

@JimboSaturn Well the lack of blood could suggest strangulation. And the lingerie also suggests there was more at play than just a lonely woman reading. But that's for your imagination to decide! Maybe she was poisoned!

@SwiftieShutterbug The book and glasses were placed there post mortem. No one reads in lingerie. The killer placed them there for a reason yet unknow to us.
