@kodiac I was too young when we lived on the farm in Missouri but it was a happy lifestyle. Kids helped with chores back then. I loved to do gardening and would pick anything that I could. Green beans by the washtub full for example, strawberries, etc. Also snapped the beans and stood on a chair to wash the jars because my hand fit inside of them better than my aunt’s hand. Didn’t seem like work, we felt free.
