Will this history remain? [I Photography]

Hoboken New Jersey right outside NJTs rail terminal.
Track embedded in cobblestone from an era long gone, when trolleys ran over the now abruptly ended rails.

How many millions of tires have run over them and the cobblestones? One day they and the cobblestones will be gone and be but a memory of the city’s past.

Lots of Sydney and Newcastle has the same thing - abandoned rail tracks because of changed commercial and government agendas over time.

I have been on a project for years to photograph old rail tracks in San Francisco.

@badminton Many Great “flags” have run over rails in Frisco. Photograph as much as you can.
Where I grew up in NYC I was mere walking distance away from the tracks of the long gone system, The New York Central. 4 tracks! Now only two.
But I was blessed. I got to stand on the platform at the station the evening the Twentieth Century Limited made its last run to Chicago. Was on the platform track!

What will people who don’t know how to use a rotary phone say about such oddly shaped arches in the middle of nowhere?
