I Love Photography

Post your picture of something that you have kept since childhood.
This is my 'Tufty Club' badge that I was given when I became a member. It was a club for little ones to do with safety whilst crossing the road, as far as I can remember. You can still buy the badges on Amazon I believe for only one pound so they are not valuable. To me it's priceless. Oh and by the way, I also have a very loved 'Tufty club' hanky, too. 😄

The item at the top of the picture was a ball cap that the Cleveland Indians gave out to every kid who walked through the turnstiles on Father’s Day 1982, which also happened to be my first ballgame. I wore that thing out and eventually framed it in the shadow box you see in the picture.

For anyone into Kiss, the second item in the picture is a framed copy of “The Originals” that Ace Frehley autographed when I was a teenager, so I guess that also kinda qualifies for this post, too.

I love seeing these pics. That cap deserves its place above the Kiss picture. @SW-User

Oh that is a shame. I have a panda that I was given at birth (stuffed not real), a book when I was Christened and a spoon I think up in the loft. @SStarfish

It was on grandpa's shelf with assorted nails in it.

Oh that is a very special tin; no wonder you've kept it. @sunrisehawk

I do not have a photo, but I still have my childhood globe.

It is so old it has the USSR on it.

Sudan and Yugoslavia are undivided. Crimea is still part of Ukraine. Hong Kong is British. Congo is still called Zaire. Etc.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Wow, that is amazing. @JoyfulSilence

@pennynoodles It is in my bedroom. I see it every day, several times a day. Sometimes I study it.

This is it. The one and only thing from my childhood. I used it for cereal when I got it out of the box, I use it for my coffee every day now.

Aw, that's a sweet tale. @xixgun

Only thing I kept from my childhood was a stuffed animal. But in my late 20s, a friend's toddler needed it more than I did, so I gave it to him

Nothing. All my toys were sold, all my clothes were sold, and my favourite stuffed animal was thrown in the bin.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Aw, sorry to hear that. @SW-User
Somewhere I have a BluePeter badge...
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Oh we need to see it!@TheSirfurryanimalWales

I've never heard of that one @Nimbus
My mother gave this to me when I was 11.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Isn't that pretty; do you ever wear it? Was it hers or was it new to you?@bijouxbroussard
@pennynoodles It fits my little finger now. I don’t wear it because I don’t want to risk ever losing it. It was new to me.
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
I can understand that. I wouldn't wear my Tufty Club badge either lol @bijouxbroussard
