is windows 11 really that terrible

i can't decide whether i should get a new windows 11 computer or not, ive seen a lot of bad reviews about 11, so its put me off a bit.

In a word, Yes. I mean you can get used to the janky UI that all versions of Windows make you do.

But the bigger issue is their new business model is basically data collection. So MS wants as much of your personal data as possible so they can sell that on to other companies.


They also claim to want to improve security and yet are hell bent on forcing Windows Recall on people which is a cybersecurity nightmare.

When it shows that it can restore your desktop after a crash including logging you back into all your stuff. The reason it can do that is because the "AI" is logging everything you do including all your passwords and login credentials and storing it....somewhere and we are trusting MS encrypts it competently.

Oh and it is enabled by default.
