I think I made Microsoft yell at Google just to show how much they care about me ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

About a couple of weeks ago I paid for a subscription on Skype calls and it took some time to arrive for some reason and I made a mistake and I bought Skype credits in the same moment so I paid for both the 60 minutes subscription and the credits.

I thought I'd simply get a refund because in a previous experience I asked for a refund from Skype and they gave it to me with a kiss on top of it and like we say in Arabic meaning they were glad to give me a refund.

I contacted Skype support and the dude I chated with apologized for not being able to help since I bought the credits via Play Store and told me to ask Google for the refund and gave me a link. As well as a transcript of our chat for evidence that I contacted him.

I contacted Google Play Store which you can only contact via email, you can't chat with them and they told me that my refund request doesn't meet their refund terms ๐Ÿค” and that they have specific terms only for European and American citizens which was odd like I'm sorry I'm Egyptian ๐Ÿ™„ I then responded to them and I asked them to point out what terms I don't meet and I gave them the transcript I had. And I think they simply ignored my email and I gave up.

Two days later I contacted Skype again and there was this really nice lady who chatted with me about my username lol it's a Selena Gomez song which she recognized and then I stupidly touched the back button and I lost her ๐Ÿ˜”

I reconnected to the chat and then it was some guy who said he can't help but he will talk to the billing team. And he told me to use the website next time I do a purchase.

A few days later I noticed an email from Microsoft team asking me to show them my receipt from Google and I did and I thanked them for their attention.

Today I got an email from Google Play Store telling me that my order was cancelled and that I should be expecting a refund โœŒ and Microsoft also emailed me saying that they are waiting for an update from the higher billing team whatever that means.

Microsoft is pretty chill tbh. Once I called to cancel my xbox live subscription because I hadn't played for months. I didn't cancel the subscription at first so it kept taking money out of my account for months

When I called, I mentioned that I should've cancelled it months ago but I kept forgetting. They asked me how long its been since I used it & I said 3 months.
Afterwards, they refunded me all 3 months worth of the money ๐Ÿ˜Œ I didn't even ask for that I only asked to cancel. So that was super cool of them
