I started dual booting during the Windows Vista fiasco mostly because gaming on Linux was not really a thing back then.
It has definitely come a long way and for several years now I have only used Windows for work. Working from home in 2020 was the first Windows PC I had at home in years.
The good news is there are also alot of options out there if you are not crazy about Ubuntu's UI.
Anything with KDE or Pop OS is working on their own desktop and Budgie is kind of cool too.
Linux Mint with Cinnamon is also very popular.
Right now my biggest headache is figuring out why the driver keeps crashing on my new GPU.
