What Os do you use?

I havent used Linux in about 15 years. Pretty impressed by how far it has come.

I dont like the Ubuntu UI though.

Yeah I feel that. Ubuntu has a lot going for it but I hate the interface GUI too with that stupid vertical bar they insist is better, too. You can change the interface though .
Personally I like Mint as a go for a standard use OS alot better.

@MethDozer Do you mean the dock on the left? I think they do that cause of Unity, it makes it look more like Unity which they used to use
But yeah, I could never stand GNOME 3 personally. I recommend using something else
For me XFCE and Cinnamon are by far the best Linux DEs
KDE is nice if you don't mind the bugs every now and then and you don't mind tinkering
