Using An External Monitor To Bypass Optimus Failed
It just made my CPU overheat and throttle even harder because the dGPU was no longer being held back by the iGPU, and sadly my laptop's heatsink is designed so the dGPU and CPU affect each other for temperature. Also my gaming laptop has been declining in thermals since 2 years ago, and then add on to 24H2 update for Windows 11 further crippling CPU bound performance, and x86 being in such a small/thin form factor means it's gonna be impossible to be cool and fast. I'm gonna refund the monitor and eventually plan to either build my own PC or buy a prebuilt desktop sometime next year or in 2027, which is when the PS6 and Xbox Prime are gonna allegedly release.
