Curious about the results of Google searches...

If I search for something and another person (in a different country) searches for the same information using the same search terms, would the results be the same... take a look at my search terms and results and give it a go, then let me know if the results from where you are, are the same as mine was here in the U.S.

Interesting question. Part of it matters which search engine is used and which country they are searching from. Guaranteed a search conducted from China would yield very different results for some topics!

Your search results are tailored to you specifically. Based off your previous google results and searches. Theyve been snooping on you from the get go

No.you can specify what region you search.G will use your local country by default unless you use a VPN

No, google is massively controlled.
Ontheroad · M
@Fairydust I assumed it would be depending upon what was being searched for, so I searched for something innocuous. Just wondering how that would turn out.
Lilymoon · F
Mine is slightly different!

Ontheroad · M
@Lilymoon interesting... a search in India was very similar and here we are sharing borders and the difference is quite obvious.

@Ontheroad yeah that's def interesting. 🤔

@NeoNeo What country are you in?
NeoNeo · 41-45, M
@Ontheroad India. Actually I searched in google.com first and then I tried google.co.in but results were same in both.
Ontheroad · M
@NeoNeo thanks! The results are remarkably similar.
