@JRVanguard yep, just turned 19 when I got it. The surgeon figured it would only last 10-15 years as it was a new ceramic model but it’s been 20 years. I feel like I am living on borrowed time before I need my first revision 🤣.

Was there a fracture or like AVN or just unusual arthritis at that age?

@JRVanguard No, I was born with congenital hip dysplasia which made the joint malformed and my leg was 2 inches shorter. When I was 13 a surgeon wanted to lengthen my leg in this horribly painful surgery but I said no. When I went to the city for school I saw a surgeon and he replaced it and the pulled my leg to stretch it to even the length and now I have permanent nerve damage from that.

@JRVanguard yah and that wouldn’t have fixed my hip so even at that young age I knew it was dumb. My surgeon moved to the US and he was really good.

@JRVanguard now I have lots of other pain to worry about with 3 types of arthritis 🤣😭
