Honest, I've not found a use case myself for C++ over C but Let me know yours ;p
I'm all ears. For myself I'll just volunteer, I am learning C to modify multi user dungeons. My interest in Multi user dungeons continues into 2026 and beyond for a very simple reason.
As a Gamer, Beyond Nostalgia itself I've begun to realize the long term consequences of Graphics Development and the Expenses it produces, Those Expenses have Additional Consequences beyond simply that it cost money. because it would have been too time consuming and expensive there was a lot that was going on in multi user dungeons like for example Dragonrealms that couldn't be translated to the world of graphical games and was lost in translation as the Web developed towards MMORPGS. I feel like Playing the pay to play ones is analogous to reading a book while Gamers on something like World of Warcraft are only watching a movie in this analogy.
Multi user dungeons could go deeper get more done implement more complex systems that would never make the jump over to graphical and I am eternally grateful I had to go without a Graphics card at the start of my computing journey because I had to make due in the early waves of the internet and try to find ways to have fun without it and so I had to experiment as Everquest became super popular and I couldn't play because of No Graphics card and so I got innovative and learned multi user dungeons and I'm ETERNALLY grateful for that in fact I now update my copy of Windows WITH Powershell and a SCRIPT because FUCK GUI EVERYTHING if I can type some commands out with my fingers I can do it FASTER.

Anyway, The Multi user dungeons and even Linux Kernel itself were written in C. So I'm left Not really sure where I'd use C++. I'm sure its great I just haven't found a use for it.

Towns were sacced and invaded and taken over in Dragonrealms, Invasions filled otherwise newbie areas with high level creatures attacking the towns. it was great fun. even as a lowbie just running aorund picking up the loot that people left laying around.
