My computer has a fairly decent processor, an Intel i5, yet when a browser window does something like the Similar Worlds 'ding' it lags for a second?

Just wondered if more RAM would fix this?

Like when the ding happens, the song I'm listening to on YouTube in another tab, cuts out for a second.

Well first what i5? The first i5 750 goes all the way back to 2009. And there has been several iterations since.

Also software optimization basically no longer exists. Chrome will eat through 8GB basically doing nothing.

So close tabs you don't need and kill apps you don't need.

And if you are using Windows it has massive amounts of bloat too.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow This is what I'm hearing
But what I really want to know is an upgrade to 32 gigs of RAM gonna solve this?
