what should you do and what does this mean when a tab in chrome crashes, and says ' not enough memory to open the page'

it's only really started to happen recently on my windows desktop computer, just before a few open tabs crashed and said ' not enough memory to open the tabs, try closing some tabs or programs etc'.

just to say, i have 289 tabs open in google chrome at the moment...so just want to know what actions you should take when tabs crash like that? and what it basically means?

i've just got my computer back from repairs just to say.

@durinsBane1983 listen to the voice memo. Low memory old computer then 249 tabs.

@TheGentleGiant '289' tabs is what i put, and i never mentioned anything about it being an 'old computer', not sure how you came to that conclusion.
TheGentleGiant · 36-40, M
@durinsBane1983 you can't have ,289 tabs left open and expect the computer to run you need to close off the tabs. Windows 7 is that conclusion
TheGentleGiant · 36-40, M
@durinsBane1983 because your computer can't handle anything more than 5 tabs on chrome. Hence the symptoms your having. It's like asking your computer to drive like an F1 car with a ford fiesta engine. Does that make sense. Take a photo of your model name and box is it a make and model of your computer.

@TheGentleGiant got your first point, but why did you conclude win 7?
TheGentleGiant · 36-40, M
@durinsBane1983 because windows 7 is part of the problem.
TheGentleGiant · 36-40, M
Being restricted on windows 7 stops you from running the latest performance and security patches from Nearly 20 years ago now. Ok I've said my bits. Think your trying to find an answer to further things that you believe there is something else. Do the basics housekeeping and you will see the difference.

TheGentleGiant · 36-40, M
