@SwampFlower Mint to me is the perfect home user or everyday go to distro. Its sleak, stable, the cinnamon desktop has a windowey feel. It's what Ubuntu should have been amd wants to be.
There's Zorin too if someone is looking for an easy windows transition bjt I like mint much more

@MethDozer I actually hate windows and only used it more recently due to some work programs that are no longer necessary.
A while ago I was using Debian with Gnome and I don’t understand the Gnome hate other than apparent compatibility issues with newer hardware. It did take some fiddling to get it to work well though and I’m too old for that shit now lol

@SwampFlower It doesnt bother me but I totslly understsnd why gnome gets hate. It's very bloated andbests resources, isnt customizable, and it can be very glitchy and requires so many extenesions. It can be a pain the ass.
