can you get any major technical problems

by having a dual operating system computer....one of my plans was to upgrade my computer, i presently have a windows 7 desktop computer and my idea was to get windows 10 installed in this computer so i can have a dual boot up? so that way i wouldn't have to completely get rid of my old windows 7 computer...

thats my idea but would i get many major technical problems by doing this?

Back in the mid 1990's I had a dual boot system Windows 98SE and Windows Server 2004. So every time I would boot the computer up, it would take you to a screen to choose which OS you wanted to boot into. That was the thing I didn't like, every time I had to choose the OS I wanted to use.

I did see an option at the bottom, something about making the selected OS your preferable OS, so when I chose that, it took away the menu and would boot you into the preferable OS, and then I would have to reinstall both OS's to get that dual boot menu back again. It was a pain in the butt, but... it did work.

I didn't have any kind of technical problems dual booting though.
