I have trouble shutting up about how much I fucking despise Apple, largely owing to having a family member in the cult.
It used to be I was very vocal about hating Microsoft and I still, very much so, do, And have become more Talented at using Linux.
But anything I hated about Microsoft, I hate more now about Apple.
The proprietary code, the closed ecosystem that doesn't play nice with products from other companies, although, To be fair, Microsoft offers extensive partnership agreements and doesn't insist on providing all of your hardware and software to you, it only insists on being your operating system.
The Overrated software, the ultra restrictive shit they put you though.
Allow me to offer you this for the record though, hating them has turned me into someone that has to know more than a little about them, I'm also bizarrely fascinated by them.
So it's both a relationship of hatred and fascination.
So, I'll offer you this Insight, If Steve Wozniak had been listened to instead of Steve Jobs and if he had prevailed in the company Hierarchy over the recommendations of Jobs, and his vision had won the day, instead of Jobs, I would, feel quite the opposite about Apple today, but Because of Jobs, which honestly it pisses me off that so many boosters are like, I wish jobs were back, like wah wah wah wah, This new guy This Tim isn't running the company as well.
Only I, unlike them, tend to remember things, quite well. And I do my research, so I understand the Mac 128K was Steve Jobs baby, and it was his for a reason, He was enchanted with the way that people like me couldn't just open the box and swap out parts even though that is something we trained up to do and the way it requires even more specialization to do.
But for the Cult of Apple, I'd love to buy a 128K just to smash it to smithereens. But the things worth a fortune to some Collector.
But as Your Apple hater, let me just state, Apples users are going to the ones that suffer the most from this.
Apple will soon cut them off from integration because of it, and who will suffer? Oh, You, iPhone owners.
I left, I'm the black sheep of my Family, sporting a Sony Xperia 1V. I don't like Samsung either, MicroSD is not negotiable.
I demand it.
But yep, Apple is going to make the iPhone crowd suffer because of What Disney and Hulu did.
Apple could choose not to, but we both know whenever this kind of brand licensing dickory happens, who pays the real price. It's the Apple Sheep.
