I had a similar issue, mine was super slow so I had to reinstall windows - and run all the updates.

my Chromebook is much easier to run and maintain.

Operating systems can crash, but your data is never lost, unless your hard drive goes bad.

Best solution is to always create virtual partition of the hard drive and save all the data in it instead of the main partition where yout operating system is installed.

That happened to me a few months back. It was shot to hell somehow. Had to boot up from a USB drive.

I have an external disc and every month I backup my important folders
