My IPad bit the dust…

I went to the Apple Store to see if it could be restored. To my distress, it couldn’t be, but they offered a replacement for $300, which I did accept, and it will arrive next Tuesday.

Meantime, I "SW" via my phone. I was thinking, 30 years ago, I was a functioning adult who didn’t even own a cell phone or laptop. The only computer I ever used was at work—for work—and I got along just fine. 🤨

Yup and the rotary phone was still common and we had to consider if a call was local, regional or...shudder... long distance so we didn't torpedo our finances 😬😬😁😁

@TrunkZ I was a teen with my own phone line because the computer hooked into the internet that way and my mom wasn't having the phone line taken over. 🤣

I made long distance calls and learned my lesson the hard way. Then I discovered pre-paid calling cards. 🤣
