@ffony honestly they've tried automating the process more over the years and it just makes things harder. I think they actually want you to give up. But of all the OEMs I've worked with, Dell is one of the better ones.
@Virgo79 Stick with Dell? At the moment I just seem to be stuck with them; incommunicado. Their contact options don't work. As soon as I can find a way to return this machine I'm done with them.
Pencil, pen & paper together with an efficient post office and publicly accessible phone lines were a lot more useful than most of this nonsense.
@SStarfish Maybe there's no one there at all. I can't even digitally access their return facility to get rid of this machine. Perhaps they've shut that down.
