Was I wrong?

So came in this morning to work and before I was even logged on the phone was ringing from a site that Never calls unless something is on fire. So I pick up the phone and due to the people around me talking loudly and carrying on I couldn’t hear what was being reported so I may have gotten a bit loud telling them I couldn’t hear the user. Was I wrong to tell them to quiet down?

Quite them down no. Yet how does matter. Possibly a bit excessive being loud, yet you didn't say just how loud you were!

I could make myself heard sitting in a high idling frontend loader clear across a rather large unloading pad.

Totally surprised my boss who was on the opposite end of the pad from me!

@DeWayfarer prior USAF crew chief so had to be heard over running jet engines so no where near as loud as I could have been lol.
