Was I wrong?

So came in this morning to work and before I was even logged on the phone was ringing from a site that Never calls unless something is on fire. So I pick up the phone and due to the people around me talking loudly and carrying on I couldn’t hear what was being reported so I may have gotten a bit loud telling them I couldn’t hear the user. Was I wrong to tell them to quiet down?
