A disconnect with reality in the tech space

For awhile now prices have been going up and a demand for more power efficient electronics has been more and more prevalent. Then you also have places already asking people to reduce their demand on the power grid.

Meanwhile you have crypto which is probably the most inefficient use of tech in decades, and you have Nvidia announcing GPUs where you will need 1 KW just to power the GPU, not even the whole computer. Oh and it will be north of 1000 USD because that is apparently the new norm.
