		Desktop.
I had to change it from Win 7 to WIn 10 recently, mainly to cope with new CAD software I wanted to load and learn.
That application is also why I use a desktop - actually a combined, slimline PC/monitor rather than two boxes. CAD needs a decently-sized screen; further, I find anything smaller than a standard keyboard physically very awkward to use.
I still have my previous, WIN-7 PC, kept off-line, and even its WIN-XP predecessor!

Win 7 is out of support. It runs "well" until the day you login to your bank and see unauthorized movements because someone took advantage of your unpatched system to leak credentials.
