I feel sorry for the thousands of “lockdown pets” that were rescued as lockdown companions and then abandoned as soon as lockdown was over….
As an animal lover, it really upsets me.

It's happening all over the place. As soon as the restrictions were lifted, our animal shelter and all the local pet rescue organizations were and are still swamped. Right now I and many people I know are contributing food, money, etc., to individuals and organizations who are swamped with caring with these animals.
