So, my girlfriend of fifteen years

Is gone. Moved out and taking her cat with her. My cat is hopelessly attached to her little mate and I'm worried that she will fret for her. My question is should I provide another cat for her to play with?

I have found that female cats will very easily accept a kitten, but not so easily another adult cat. Even a spayed cat gets maternal when there's a kitten in the house. The younger, the better
