CantExplain · 61-69, M
There is a legless lizard species where I live called a Glass Lizard that has very similar brownish coloration and stripes...so, that’s my guess...

@CantExplain Yes, or Glass Snake.
Iwillwait · M
@UnderLockDown The name kinda contradicts the species. Totally false advertising!🙄
UnderLockDown · M
@Iwillwait They can lose their tail, like many lizards, and some have a pearlescent look and the stripes are faint so it fits well enough.
Iwillwait · M
@UnderLockDown what do you mean it fits well enough?
UnderLockDown · M
@Iwillwait The name is descriptive. They are smooth and shiny, sometimes glassy looking, and they can "break" but still slither away, leaving the tail to squirm.
I guess Glass Lizard is more accurate, but most people don't think lizard when they see it.
