My cat has found a natural way to remove fleas that's an improvement on the dust bath.

She rubs against a sticky plant we have in the garden, getting sap and little flowers all over herself, and then she rolls in the sand. It all ends up in little sticky balls on the ground and then she cleans herself as usual... Brilliant!! And entertaining to watch.😽😂

At the farm we use permethrin dust in cloth roved that we hang up and the cattle like to walk under them and let them slide across their backs . The deer don’t get same thing as do the coyotes . I suspect a cat would too if it was low enough

@TexChik Better than DDT

@cherokeepatti yep , not sure that’s legal any longer . Since we started hanging those flea and tick bags our average weight of a calf went up nearly 10 pounds. The deer are much healthier too

@TexChik It’s not legal in the USA but think they are using it in 3rd world countries. Glad the deer use it. Those deer ticks can cause a person to get severely allergic to all types of red meat and that would suck.

@cherokeepatti plus Lyme disease . We use ear tags on the cows too but in the summers that’s just not enough
