@acpguy My ex used to kill & eat squirrels. We didn’t have too many problems with them but we lived in the country where he could shoot them.

I lived in nc for years. Squirrels certainly would go after some of them, but I've never seen one stripped. I always figured it was too much work for them to get them all.
You must have an army of squirrels.

@Carla It’s a smaller tree

@cherokeepatti ahhh...the trees I had were very old and very large.

They destroyed our peach crop this year!

@Harmonium1923 They are very destructive. I stopped putting out bird feed for the wild birds because of the squirrels. But before I did I made sure to pepper up the seeds really good with cayenne powder, it doesn’t bother birds like it does mammals.

@Harmonium1923 One of them stole every tiny plum off of the plum tree one spring & buried them all over the front & back yard. They have torn off the eave’s vents screens, one got inside & had babies & died in the wall. Two others have got down in the chimney between the brick & sheet metal, one stayed in the walls & barked like a chihuahua clawing & trying to get out till he found the garage & then knocked a lot of things off onto the floor until I opened the door to let him out. And they’ve clawed siding loose in spots several years ago until we had it replaced when we shingled it. A lot of neighbors have trim siding that looks like the squirrels have gnawed & clawed it.
