Are there fire flies where you live?

Or do you call them lightning bugs?

Never in California. When I used to visit relatives in Louisiana and Georgia we’d see them. But I’m told they’re much fewer now.

@Peaches I remember one of the most wonderful things was watching them from my grandmother’s front porch. When it was dark, you could hear crickets, and see all the fireflies. My cousin and I were talking about it this morning. She said she hasn’t seen one in years.
