It's definetly a fern. Google ferns that stink and see if you can match the leaf/frond pattern
MissTeriousAura · 41-45, F
@Travelbug I tried that but the results turn up ferns that I already know of and they don’t have a smell thanks anyway

@MissTeriousAura maybe 'what causes a fern to snell' could be something like soil acidity
MissTeriousAura · 41-45, F
@Travelbug that was one of the results at least about the soil but these fern plant things aren’t growing in the same type of soul and it was mostly smelly if they were growing in pots and all of these plants have the same stink to them

I have an app on my phone named "seek". It uses your camera to try and identify plants and animals. Getting the app to recognize something is sometimes tricky - the angle and lighting need to be just right, and so on. But otherwise it's been pretty reliable for me for identifying things in my yard and such.

Pain and blisters pinnate leaflets possibly poison sumac pungent smell when the leaves are pressed.

Wash well with cold water and have some alcohol ready for the blisters opening after they form and weep in a couple days if you lack immunity.

Looks like "fern leaf" used in floral arrangements.
MissTeriousAura · 41-45, F
@Tomorrow maybe but it stinks so I don’t know how anyone can handle wearing it or being around it
