@HannibalAteMeOut Markhor. A species of wild mountain goat, closely related to the ibex, but they live in warmer climates. Ibexes are found in places like Germany, Austria,and Switzerland, while markhor live primarily in Pakistan and and Afghanistan.

@BlueMetalChick they're impressive! I'm wondering how these are practical, though. Ι mean horns are practical, but why the design?

@HannibalAteMeOut I'm not entirely sure. A lot of animals have unusual or seemingly impractical displays like this for mating though. We're still trying to figure out why narwhals have their distinctive tusk.

@firefall Ibexes are gorgeous. Funny story, a friend of mine is from Russia and just a few months ago she had an incident when an ibex climbed on top of her car and she had to throw a honeydew melon at it to scare it off lol. Being alpine animals they have a strong instinct to climb on things.
