When was the last time you fed a wild animal?

These are New Forest ponies I fed carrots to last week

@cherokeepatti I've not heard of them. I fed the little Robin this morning, he's always hungry.

@Travelbug They show up here a day or so before a cold front moves in, and they scout around looking for food. I saw some eating some bird seeds I had thrown out and put some more out for them. Normally don’t see them otherwise.

@cherokeepatti is that the only time you see them.. Before it snows? Are they a migrating bird?

@Travelbug I don’t know if they stay here in the summer or not. I know they seem scared they will starve and know when it’s going to get real cold or come a snow so they start looking for food by scouting around looking for food on porches or in feeders. We had migrating Canada geese but have a lot that stays all year round now.

@cherokeepatti same with the geese in the UK. I'll Google these snow birds and see what they do.
