Do you think animal partners fight?(50s)

I was out in the Aussie bush a while back, just sitting quietly when I espied a Possum returning to its nest,(hollow in the tree) high in the tree. This was about 10 am. Possums are nocturnal so to see one at that hour was unusual. As soon as the Possum entered the nest an almighty ruckus broke out.
The wifey did not seem amused. I was imagining her screaming at her spouse,
"You dirty stop out, what have I told you about staying out or night? If you can't come home at a descent hour, don't come home at all"
Fighting and screaming went on for more than 10 minutes. Poor Possum.

I have a female parakeet who hatched her third batch of babies and the daddy wanted to have a peek after the first one hatched and he stuck his head into the nesting box and she whooped him good. I felt so sorry for him, he was a good daddy feeding her so she could feed the babies. I guess her mother instinct kicked in.

@cherokeepatti That would be so funny to have a video camera constantly filming. Catch those moments to share with the world.

Yeah. I would have loved to have had a nesting box with a window on the outside so I could watch her feed them. Sometimes I”d stand up with a flashlight and peer inside and watch how she fed the babies. She would flip the tiny babies over on their back and poke predigested seeds in their mouth. So tiny I don’t know how she managed but she is a good mother and takes it seriously. She never lost a baby, hatched & raised 22 in about 9 months.@Gusman
