Nearly lost Riff.

I'm trying to introduce her to the outside world.
I carry her in my arms and walk her around the courtyard.
She wriggles and squirms and breathes heavily, whimpers and cries. Not in excitement or joy. To go back inside.
This evening she damn near got away from me; she's a strong girl! She struggled out of my arms and I almost didn't catch her.
Tips on how to make the transition to being an outdoor cat as well as indoor??

Introduce her to the scents first coming from from outside. Stand or sit at an open window or door with her.

@EugenieLaBorgia That's the thing. Her favourite thing to do is sit by the screen door and watch the world go by. Loves meowing at the birds.
@Cavedweller Oh, she'll soon venture outside! It can be a fearful transition from indoors to outdoors.

@EugenieLaBorgia You really think so? It's stressing me out.
@Cavedweller How old is she?
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@EugenieLaBorgia Five months.
@Cavedweller Oh, she is young. She'll soon want to explore, don't worry!

@EugenieLaBorgia Thanks, Eugenie. I'll let it happen organically.
